Mersea Island
Mersea Island is a wonderful place to stay.
The island location offers excellent sailing and watersports, including wind surfing and also has superb kite surfing beaches.
The waterfront / anchorage offers a variety of restaurants and places to eat. Mersea is famous for its Native Oysters, which have been praised by both Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein, and these can be sampled in ‘The Company Shed’ and ‘The West Mersea Oyster Bar’.
In addition to the above eateries there is also ‘The Victory’, ‘The Fox’, ‘Titash’ and ‘The Coast Inn’.
