“We both had a lovely time last week during our stay. The Lodge could not have been more perfect and the island was lovely too. Having the use of the bikes was a great added bonus and we’re definitely recommending the place to our friends. Our only regret is not asking earlier in the stay about the fresh eggs as we could’ve had them every morning if we did!”

“I recently had the good fortune to have a lovely stay at The Lodge on Mersea Island and really did find an absolute gem of a place to stay. The lodge was bright and airy with a lovely wide balcony overlooking the owner’s beautiful gardens and open countryside. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedroom and lounge extremely comfortable. There was plenty to do locally with lots of history and some lovely beach walks – plus Friday Wood near Colchester was only a short drive away – so it was a dog lover’s paradise. This is definitely a place I will be coming back to!”
